About Us
A little bit about us...
We are a small hobby breeder located on 5 private acres in Saginaw, MI just a few hours north of the Detroit, MI area. I got started in Goldens in 1994 when I purchased a Golden puppy as a Christmas present for my first husband. We named him Moe. He was not a show dog, just a wonderful companion. From there we purchased another companion, named her Curley and yes you guessed it…the next one was Larry! All very smart, wonderful companions and I knew then they would be a part of my life long term.
Several years after the 3 Stooges, we purchased another Golden and I decided to take her to obedience classes as a puppy to learn and train her in basic obedience commands. We had so much fun…I loved the bond and connection we had. Several years later I started learning about conformation, watching shows like Westminster and again saw the love and bond that could be shared by a human and a dog. It was at that moment, I decided I wanted to show dogs in conformation.
It was not until 2014 that I went to meet my first show puppy. We traveled to My Buddy Goldens in Lenox, Michigan to pick him up on January 1st, 2015. We named him Zeus, he became my heart dog and we started on the journey of learning the world of conformation - from showing to grooming. Zeus and I took numerous conformation classes to learn the in’s and outs of the show ring and were also Blessed with several incredible mentors to learn the necessary grooming skills required to prepare a Golden for the show ring. One of the mentors was a professional handler who took me “under her wing” and shared her invaluable knowledge with me. I am forever indebted to her.
At just 3 months old, Zeus and I travelled to Louisville, KY and stepped into the show ring for his first show at a Puppy Extravaganza where he took 2nd in his class! That had me hooked! It was at that show I met my mentor and friend, Amy Comer.
From that point on, Zeus and I continued to train and learn what we needed to be successful in the show ring and I finished his AKC Championship in 2017 just after his 3rd Birthday. At one of the shows on the way to his championship where he obtained a major win, we met an amazing breeder, Monica McGee from Kokopelli Goldens. She loved Zeus and ended up breeding her girl, Faith, to him. From that litter, we were Blessed with Grace who ended up being our foundation girl for WulffStock Goldens.
As hobby breeders, we breed no more than two - three litters per year. We breed for sound health and temperament first and foremost. We spend time researching pedigrees and strive for the best in each and every breeding that we do. The future of our Golden Retriever breed, along with our future puppy owners are depending on the decisions that we make today.
